The Following Polar Bears have been named to the 2000 U.S. Women's Under-22 Select Team

Jamie Hagerman - Harvard University

Angela Ruggiero - Harvard University

Elizabeth Macri - Dartmouth College

Julie Chu - Choate Rosemary Hall

Kimberly Insalaco - Brown University

Jessica Tabb - Providence College

The Polar Bears represent one-third of the skaters of the team (6 of 18) and one-half of the teams defense (3 of 6).

Of the announcement, Polar Bear founder and 19U coach Maurice FitzMaurice, who has coached each of these players, said "I am very proud of the accomplishments of these and all of the Polar Bears. I believe these players have set an example of excellence both on the ice and in the classroom that I hope current and future Polar Bears will follow for years to come. To have one-third of the skaters of a National Team come from a single program is quite exciting."
