2005-06 Connecticut Polar Bears Highlights 

  •  19U Won CT States, New England Regionals, 3rd place Bronze Medal at Nationals, Finalist in CT Polar Bear Tournament

  • 16U A’s won RI Panthers Thanksgiving Tournament

  •  16 Royals won CT States, Tier II New England Regionals and the Labelle tournament at the 19U level

  • 14U A’s Won CT States, New England Regionals, 3rd place Bronze Medal at Nationals, Finalist in CT Polar Bear Tournament, won the Lady Flames Columbus Day Tournament

  • 14 Royals won CT States and New England Tier II Regionals

  • 14 Whites won Walter Forrest Tournament

  •  12A’s Won CT States, New England Regionals, 2nd place Silver Medal at Nationals, Won Rochester Fire on Ice Tournament

  • 10 A’s won Warriors Halloween Tournament. 3rd place Lady Flames, 3rd Place CT Polar Bear Tournament, Runners-up  at the Labelle Tournament.

Other special highlights this year include:
 

  • Polar Bear 19U’s were invited by Ben Smith to practice with the  Olympic Team

  • The Polar Bears presented an engraved photo album to each Olympian for their photos from the Torino Olympic Games and were there for their final send off to Italy

  • The Polar Bears went together to watch  U.S. women's team at Yale and Civic Center

  • Polar Bears of all ages donated over 100 stuff bears at our annual Collect-a-Bear kick off, sending bears to Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital

  • 16 Royals went to Gaylord hospital on a community service project

  • Attended clinics with the UConn women's hockey team and  fun skate with the Quinnipiac women’s hockey team

 

 

  • This season the Polar Bears had 41 players selected for the New England Yankee Festival and 17 players have been invited to National Camp.
