Tryouts for the 2011-2012 season have been completed. There may be some openings at some team levels.

Tryouts for the 2012-2013 season will be held in April, 2012. Please check back often for further updates to this page.

 

Step 1 Fill out our online application

Step 2 Mail tryout payments

Please see tryout fee schedule below.  It is important to note that U12, U14, U16 andU19 players who join the Connecticut Polar Bears will receive a $50 CREDIT of their original tryout fee, applied against their 2011-2012 tuition (net tryout fee is $50).

 

Tryout fees should be made payable to “CT Polar Bears”, and can be submitted one of three ways:

1.      Mailed to the address below and received prior to the Open Skate    or First Session Tryout

2.      Handed in at the check in for the Open Skate on 4/7 (must be paid prior to going on the ice)

       3.      If not attending the Open Skate, you can hand in payment at the    first tryout session

Step 3 Register with USA Hockey (Opens April 1st)

Players who were registered with USA Hockey last season (2010-2011 season) are registered until 8/31/2011 and do not need to renew before tryouts, but must renew before 8/31/2011. All new players that were not registered with USA Hockey last season must register with USA hockey for the 2011-2012 season prior to tryouts.

All skaters must present their USA hockey confirmation or card at tryout check in, or their USA Hockey card or confirmation from last season.

After registration and online payment.

You will be able to print your USA hockey confirmation.

A copy will also be emailed to you.

Step 4 Come to the tryouts

Please arrive 45 minutes early for the first scheduled tryout.
 (new players) Bring your USA Hockey confirmation page. (returning players) Bring your USA Hockey card, last years confirmation or your new 2011-2012 season confirmation .
Full Hockey equipment is required including mouth and neck guards.
At check in players will be assigned a tryout jersey.
"On April 7th, there will be a conditioning skate, open to all skaters who are registered to attend the tryout and whose tryout fees are paid in full.   Full equipment is required for this Open Skate".
